Trinity Youth Group
The Youth Group consists of approximately 9 teenagers between 13 and 18
years of age. For the first part of the year, the group was led by Erin
Dewhirst. As of May 2005, Erin was no longer able to continue with the
group as she took on her role of assistant curate at St. James' Cathedral.
During the interim, the group leader is Barb Jones.
The youth group participated in Carrot fest in August 2008, selling cotton
candy at a booth in front of Crazy Girlz Boutique. The ladies of that store
were kind enough to allow us to plug in our machine to their electricity for
the day at no charge. In October, a group of young people attended a
service at St. James' and then visited with Erin for the afternoon.
The youth group assisted at the annual rummage sale, and participated in a
Shell Out for the Food Bank on Halloween. We were invited to join the
Presbyterian Youth Group in November for some fellowship, treats and
games.
Over the Christmas Break, a small group again travelled to Toronto to help
out at the Drop-In held weekly on Tuesdays at the cathedral. The girls
helped prepare food, served meals and assisted with the clean up
afterward. At 5:15 we attended an evening service with Erin before
heading home.
